Rules

General Rules

1) No racism, hate speech, or otherwise toxic attitude. Playful smack-talk is always encouraged, but inappropriate/disparaging comments, art, or speech can lead to an immediate ban without appeal.

2) PVP and Raiding are turned off by default. There are designated areas on the map where PVP is enabled, these are indicated by the bubble domes surrounding some monuments and events (I.E cargo, launch site, or a downed patrol helicopter). A message will pop up in your game chat informing you when PVP is enabled, and for ten seconds after leaving a zone you can still take damage. Do not skirt zone edges to avoid taking damage or “swoop in” to snag a kill.

3) Looting is always finders/keepers, first to loot and skedaddle gets the bag.

4) Killing and robbing a sleeping player is allowed. Players can steal anything they can access in your base or on your body. Lock all doors and boxes that may be accessible to strangers.

5) If you believe a player is cheating, please use the F7 report. Tagging admins in discord or spamming chat won’t accomplish anything.

6) The roam limit is your team UI of 8 players. Teaming up with players outside of your team UI is considered breaking the rules, and your current team can only be changed while all members are outside of a PVP zone.

7) Do not intentionally grief another player. This can include putting TC spires around someone’s base, spikes around the road, shoving a locked car into the ocean, etc.

8) Trap bases are not allowed. If you are found intentionally leaving accessible areas of your base with traps/hopper or one way dead ends to trap players, then your base may be altered/removed by staff.

9) Turrets can only be inside closed bases or compounds, and unable to shoot players passing by or flying nearby. If an admin determines a turret can damage a passerby, they may remove the turret.

Breaking the rules can result in a warning, temporary pvp block, freeze out, or ban depending on the frequency and severity of the issue.

Building Restrictions

Currently maps are unrestricted for build locations. You may build anywhere but don’t be a jerk when picking your location. Try to leave at least ten foundation lengths between the outside of your base and the outside of another players. The maps are big, feel free to spread out.

Keep all signs, art, and buildings appropriate. If you wouldn’t wear it on a shirt in public it probably shouldn’t be on your wall. Inappropriate signs and art may be deleted without warning (I.E. art depicting explicit acts, graphic scenes, or hate symbols).

Avoid having more than 8 high external walls per player in your main base. If you are found to be spamming high walls they may be removed.

Do not TC spam. There is not currently a hard limit on TCs and we would like to keep it that way, but you may be asked to downsize. Four people living in a base with a few external TCs and garage make sense. A solo with 12 externals and a ten car garage, 100 furnace base, heli tower, etc may be judged more harshly. If your base is loaded with entities and causing lag you will be asked to downsize, or if especially egregious it will be downsized for you without warning.

You can make small FOBs around the map (I.E. a 1×2 with a bed, locker, etc), but you should not be building several clan style bases with a full shooting floor and five windmills near every monument. Try to limit yourself to a only a few small bases as needed, aside from your main base.

Do not spam entities in a way that does not make sense to intentionally or unintentionally cause lag. Twenty industrial conveyors for an autosort loot room? Understandable. One hundred vending machines spread out to depict the Mona Lisa on the world map? Not ok.

Do not block main roads or river access. If a row boat cannot make it upstream due to a build you may be asked to downsize. A 4 mod car should easily be able to drive through any road.

PVE/PVP

PVP is only enabled within the domes and during Open Season (see the Open Season page for more info). You will be unable to harm any other player outside of these zones.

Players will be given a PVP delay for ten seconds after leaving a zone. You can still take damage during this time. If you are found intentionally skirting zone borders and lingering outside of range to swoop in for kills you may receive a PVP block.

If a PVP dome lands on someone’s base, this DOES NOT make it a raid event. Please avoid using weapons or items that can damage player structures. Anyone found abusing the Dynamic PVP zones (I.E. Patrol, air drop, etc) will receive a warning and/or ban depending on the situation.

If a PVP dome lands on your base and you do not wish to be involved, do not go outside or shoot at players. Players are able to shoot at you if exposed through a window/etc.

Anything within a static pvp zone is lootable (bodies, vehicles, boxes, etc). Be sure not to enter a zone with anything you are not willing to lose. Dynamic zones allow looting but you should not damage player structures or vehicles within these zones.

The underground tunnels are NOT PVP. Some zones currently cut through the train tunnels, these are not PVP. PVP for tunnels begin at the top elevator floor. If you accidentally kill a player below this zone, please watch their items or help return them to the player.
